The video changed my life. It invited me to be with me. No one else had ever done that before. As an Adopted person I have always had to deal with the rejection I felt as an infant. Finding and being connected is very important to me. Garret said I am in the tribe of those who feel like me. We are all connected to the larger universe.

I would like to thank Garrett and the Wayseers for allowing me to discover I was not only a “DaVinci Mind,” but soon I came to realize I was in fact a “Super DaVinci Mind.” At Wayseers I was encouraged to think really big ideas. It is at Wayseers that most of the draft of my book was created.

Even though my personal life seemed to be crumbling around me I was able to stay focused enough and I continued to write. As with the other 99% my life is still a little pinchy.  It has been a beautiful struggle. I can see the light.

Our dominating culture has perpetuated this unfortunate out-of-integrity “game” of attempting to put square pegs in round holes. Plus, we have made up all kinds of strange stories to justify/defend what we keep doing. Apparently, the tipping point that puts humans on the brink of self-extinction is when human population approaches seven billion.

As we learn more of what there is to learn about the integrity of being human, we can see that we all come into human experience with a full complement of qualities and characteristics of being human, needing to get nothing from outside to be more human. So, therefore, it is clear that we are “designed” to thrive in our niche like virtually every other species, with a similar capability to trust our inherent intuition and/or instincts to enable us to adapt and evolve in an evolutionarily stable manner.

It is totally possible to restore integrity to our cultural paradigms if we simply begin rethinking everything and begin seriously to ask ourselves such questions as, “What makes a thing or idea true?”  And/or “What is the governing law?” And, requiring the answer to be directly supported by definable  Principles/Laws/Truths.

We need to follow the Ben & Jerry’s model. They are actually responsible for raising wages and living standards of the growers in Central America.

As little as 1% of the profit spent to benefit workers would be a huge improvement. Companies need to understand the The human resource is the most precious resource.

If Chinese workers make such beautiful product under these appalling conditions, imagine how beautiful in a situation where they are given respect and value.

There is a vast and disturbing social experiment happening in China. It’s not a pretty future. Robots. Really.

The 99% for 100%.

The Labor Party, in the meantime, opened its membership to anyone, whether or not in a unionized workplace. Middle-class Marxists and some reformers joined the party. Many rural farm workers joined the Labor Party, as well as some small landholders. Labor leadership understood that in a protracted struggle, constant outreach and organizing was needed to a nonviolent campaign. In the midst of the growing polarization, Norway’s workers launched another wave of strikes and boycotts in 1928.

The Depression hit bottom in 1931. More people were jobless there than in any other Nordic country. Unlike in the U.S., the Norwegian union movement kept the people thrown out of work as members, even though they couldn’t pay dues. This decision paid off in mass mobilizations. When the employers’ federation locked employees out of the factories to try to force a reduction of wages, the workers fought back with massive demonstrations.

Many people then found that their mortgages were in jeopardy. (Sound familiar?) The Depression continued, and farmers were unable to keep up payment on their debts. As turbulence hit the rural sector, crowds gathered nonviolently to prevent the eviction of families from their farms. The Agrarian Party, which included larger farmers and had previously been allied with the Conservative Party, began to distance itself from the 1 percent; some could see that the ability of the few to rule the many was in doubt.

By 1935, Norway was on the brink. The Conservative-led government was losing legitimacy daily; the 1 percent became increasingly desperate as militancy grew among workers and farmers. A complete overthrow might be just a couple years away, radical workers thought. However, the misery of the poor became more urgent daily, and the Labor Party felt increasing pressure from its members to alleviate their suffering, which it could do only if it took charge of the government in a compromise agreement with the other side.

This it did. In a compromise that allowed owners to retain the right to own and manage their firms, Labor in 1935 took the reins of government in coalition with the Agrarian Party. They expanded the economy and started public works projects to head toward a policy of full employment that became the keystone of Norwegian economic policy. Labor’s success and the continued militancy of workers enabled steady inroads against the privileges of the 1 percent, to the point that majority ownership of all large firms was taken by the public interest. Labor stepped in, seized the three largest banks, fired the top management, left the stockholders without a dime and refused to bail out any of the smaller banks. The well-purged Norwegian financial sector was not one of those countries that lurched into crisis in 2008; carefully regulated and much of it publicly owned, the sector was solid.

Although Norwegians may not tell you about this the first time you meet them, the fact remains that their society’s high level of freedom and broadly-shared prosperity began when workers and farmers, along with middle class allies, waged a nonviolent struggle that empowered the people to govern for the common good.

They are the Rock Stars of visionaries. They did and are doing all of the work needed to make this planet work for everybody. Of course there are current movers but they stand on the shoulders of these giants.

As a soccer enthusiast, I’d like to use this analogy to help you understand the concept of how we should work as a team. Most of the world understands and is passionate about that game. As a shared experience we can all relate to. Any sport has a goal that needs to be reached to be considered successful. Using soccer as a great team sport example, although you can apply it to any sport you’re familiar with, soccer is my passion and more familiar to me.

The true goal of any good coach is not only to teach how the game is played, but to instill certain values that can be used in all facets of life. Working together as a team, good sportsmanship, respect for opposing players, winning gracefully and losing graciously are but a few of the values to be learned.

Thank my higher power someone has come out swinging for the sake of the poor and underserved of this country. I was raise in the upper middle class by a man who truly felt embarrassed to make larger then $250,000 per year. He had the brilliance and the talent to make as much money as he wanted. And even though I was taken care of it was only for needs met. 

As we stand up to the bullies on the playground, again, It is Michael Moore that steps up as the voice of reason. I believe it was Cornell West who said it like this. “These really are strange times when a white man, Michael Moore, is preaching the cannons of the black man, Martin Luther King, to another black man, Barrack Obama. 

We need a third party candidate that will bring to the table the issues that really matter to the 99%.
